Terry Pratt

Rand Larson
Temple Builders Guild Tribute to the Crew – Temple of Together
Rand lives and works in Palm Springs as a photographer in the corporate event world. Since 2019 he’s been documenting the build and builders for each year’s Temple. His goal is to let my lens be a flashlight shining on the crew. He wants the Burning Man community know who these people are that build this amazing art, and what sort of people they are. It’s a beautiful structure every year. The people who build it are equally beautiful.

Neo Weng
Moments: Luz and Nox — Art in Motion
Director, DP & Editor at IWCS. Dedicated to gathering and editing the fleeting moments of Burning Man across 6 major films since 2015.
Mona Hsuan Chin Wu
Mona Wu is a Taiwan-based film producer representing the International Wood Culture Society (IWCS). Since 2015, IWCS has documented large-scale art installations at Burning Man, exploring the relationship between art, nature, and human experience.
Her work examines how wood carries cultural memory and becomes a meeting point for collective creation. Through documentary storytelling, she highlights how communities gather, build, and reimagine their connection to the earth. Most recently, she has produced documentary films for World Expo 2025 in Japan, exploring how nations tell their stories through space, structure, and material.
Janis Hesse
Die, Mona Die!
Janis K. Hesse is a German neuroscientist researching the neural mechanisms of consciousness and psychedelics at UC Berkeley. Before his role as project lead and camp co-lead at Mona Art Project, Janis contributed to Burning Man as part of a neuroscience-themed camp hosting talks and workshops on psychedelics. In his free time, Janis also writes and performs music in various funk and rock bands.
Miao He
He Miao, an alumna of the China Academy of Art’s Department of Sculpture, has spent years immersed in the creation of public art and sculptural works. She has been a recurring contributor to Burning Man, where her installations have garnered international recognition. Her artistic practice merges public art with spatial design to reflect on pressing social issues. Through her signature use of materials—juxtaposing a delicate exterior with a resilient core—He Miao crafts a compelling metaphor for feminine strength, drawing widespread attention and acclaim.

Panelist and Moderators

Morgan McClure
Originally from New Hampshire, Morgan found her way to Black Rock City by way of Indonesia, Ohio, Boston, and San Francisco. She attended her first burn in 2022, and immediately started looking for an art project to join. The first sign up she saw was Temple of the Heart, and after participating in that build, she was hooked.
When she is not working on temple building in Oakland or the Playa, she works as an academic advisor to Optometry students at UC Berkeley, and likes to spend time with her husband Will trying to find the best cup of coffee in the Bay Area.

Peter Platzgummer
Peter Platzgummer has been with Burning Man Project since 2021. As the Associate Director of Art Management, he supports artists throughout the lifecycle of the nearly 500 large-scale sculptures featured annually—from early-stage design and construction to financing, project management, and post-event placement.
Previously, Peter served as a Program Manager and Producer at a U.S. art fabrication studio, specializing in immersive and kinetic high-tech art installations.
As a board member and part of the Five Ton Crane artist collective, Peter also builds community sculptures that have been exhibited all over the United States.
Peter holds a Ph.D. in Public Management from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
