Sustainability Event AM – Earth Guardians

Earth Guardians inspire, inform, and encourage the Black Rock City community to apply Leave No Trace principles to a temporary city of 80,000 people. This session pulls back the curtain on how that actually works: the origins of Leave No Trace at Burning Man and why it matters far beyond the playa (it’s the reason the event keeps its permit to return to the desert every year), the story of how Earth Guardians came to be, and what the group does day to day, including how you can bring the same practices into your own life at home.

This is a session about the unglamorous, essential work that makes a leave no trace city possible, and why it matters just as much off the playa as on it.
