Greeters are the first faces newcomers see when they step into the digital dust. You are the welcome. You are the “glad you’re here.” You show people around, answer their questions, and help them find their footing in the platform, all while making them feel like they just walked into camp for the first time.
How the Alert System Works
We have a secure Greeter channel on Discord built just for this. The moment someone new arrives on BurnerSphere, an alert drops in that channel. That is your cue to jump into the platform and say hello.
You do not need to sit and stare at the screen waiting. Keep the Greeter channel open in the background while you go about your day. When the alert comes through, that is your moment to drop in and greet the newest member of our community.
Shifts
Just like earning your ticket for next year out on the playa, Greeters who work a certain number of shifts will receive a code toward next year’s Camp Dues. Show up for the community, and the community shows up for you.
